Continuam seria “Barbie’s Say Yes To The Dress” cu un set absolut special pe care mi-l doresc de ceva vreme si care, din punctul meu de vedere, este unic in lumea Barbie. Este vorba de gift set-ul “Midge Wedding Party” realizat in 1990 si care contine un numar absolut impresionant de papusi: 6!

Midge este una dintre cele mai cunoscute prietene ale lui Barbie, iar sotul ei este unul dintre cei mai buni prieteni ai lui Ken, Alan. Poate nu stiati asta, dar seria noua Happy Family, lansata in 2002, este pornita exact de la cuplul Midge-Alan si contine cu adevarat o intreaga familie de papusi: mama, tata, copii, bunici, cupluri prietene. Ideea de start a creerii acestei familii este exact acest set.

Asa cum este si numele setului, personajul principal este o frumoasa roscata Midge imbracata intr-o rochie alba de printesa, in timp ce buna ei prietena Barbie ii este domnisoara de onoare impreuna cu mica Skipper care arunca petale de flori inaintea miresei. Din partea mirelui ii avem pe Ken, evident, si un extrem de dragut Todd care duce si verighetele celor doi miri.

In set mai este inclusa si garderoba de luna de miere a lui Midge si Alan asa cum puteti vedea si pe spatele cutiei. Nu-i asa ca este un set absolut unic?

We continue the “Barbie’s Say Yes To The Dress” series with a special giftset that I’ve been wanting for some time now and that is absolutly unique in the Barbie world. It’s called “Midge Wedding Party” from 1990 and it contains an impresive number of dolls: 6!

Midge is one of the best known Barbie friends and Alan is one of Ken‘s. Maybe you didn’t know this but the nes Happy Family series , launched in 2002, was started exactly having this set in mind and it contains a whole family of dolls: mother, dad, kids, grandparents, other couples.

The most importand doll is of course the beautiful red haired Midge, dress in a white wedding gown while her good friend Barbie is her maiden of honour along side with a small Skipper that is in charge with the flowers. On the grooms side we have Ken and a very cute Todd that also carries the wedding rings.

In the set we can also find spare clothes for the honeymoon as you can see on the back of the box. Isn’t this a unique giftset?
