The second wave of Jem and The Holograms dolls are here!
KIMBER BENTON is romantic, rebellious, and emotional, and she sometimes envies the attention that is paid to her big sister, JERRICA BENTON. Ever since she was a child, KIMBER has been writing and playing music. Her father had hoped that she would follow her late mom’s path into music and she did — She writes songs, plays keyboards, and sings backing vocals for The Holograms. She is also the co-owner of Starlight Music with her sister, JERRICA BENTON.

Perfectly styled with an awesome 80’s look, KIMBER BENTON comes dressed in her truly outrageous stage costume and includes high-heeled pumps, her true-to-character, ultra-detailed keytar instrument with plug-in amp cable, shoulder strap, doll stand and a certificate of authenticity. For adult collectors 14 and up only!
AJA LEITH was the Benton sisters’ first foster sister. She’s a levelheaded tomboy who enjoys sports, is good with tools, and speaks Chinese (she’s Asian-American). AJA usually drives the Rockin’ Roadster, too. She plays lead guitar in The Holograms!

SHANA ELMSFORD was the second foster sister that the Bentons brought into their home. She’s less confident than the other Holograms, but she not only plays drums, she also designs the girls’ outfits. In fact, at one point, she leaves the band to work full-time as a designer, but eventually returns — and then, switches to play bass guitar! SHANA is one of the most multi-talented HOLOGRAMS!

Thoughts? I’m not overly impressed with them. Cute, I like Anja, but not worth buying right now. I’m saving for the Queen of Costelations.
Via Doll Genie we have some exciting and interesting piece of news! There will be a Vintage Batman Barbie Assortment in 2013 inspired by the the 1966 Batman™ television series. This is beyond cool!! I totally love Batman and I’m a collector of anything vintage related to tv shows and pop culture so YEY for me, NEY for my pocket. Can’t wait to see how many dolls will be in this seris and who will create them.
This is like the best piece of news I had all week! Check out the brand new and amazing Barbie Collector dolls by Bill Greening, Robert Best and Linda Kyaw. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Queen of the Constellations.
I haven’t posted anything about the new Ninimomo dolls in quite some time… Shame on me! They have already released two more waves of dolls this year and here’s the third. Don’t forget you can keep up with their releases on their Facebook page.
Oh my… How I loved that TV show. Lipstick Jungle. Great show. I liked it way better than the book and got so annoyed when it was canceled. All the good shows are canceled. I also loved Cashmere Mafia. Do you remember that one? I so wish they had made dolls after that show.
Anyway…getting back to our dolls, here are the first S.I.S. dolls from 2013. Unfortunatelly they don’t have any articulation but they are cute. The dresses look way too much like regular Barbie dolls but I love anything related to this line so I’ll just overlook that.
Can’t wait to see what other S.I.S. dolls come out this year. And btw, what about the Prettie Girls dolls? When will they come out?
Valentine is only a few weeks away so Mattel has already released this year’s Barbie I Love Valentines! doll. For now I only have pictures of the Caucasian doll and hopefully soon we’ll also see the AA one.
She’s cute but not really my style.
TRU has an exclusive Barbie Valentine’s doll and she’s one of the Pinktastic caucasian dolls dressed in Nikki’s dress!
Just saw these amazing Oz dolls on Flickr and I’m in love with them! The Wizard of Oz was one of my fave childhood books and the Judy garland movie is still one of the best ways to relax when I feel like watching a good old movie.
This year I can not wait to see the brand new Disney movie Oz the Great and Powerful starring James Franco as Oscar Diggs, Mila Kunis as Theodora, Michelle Williams as Glinda, and Rachel Weisz as Evanora. I’ve been waiting for this movie since it was just an rumour circulating on movie blogs so you can imagine how happy I was when I saw these A-M-A-Z-I-N-G dolls made by Tollytots. The girls are beyond beautiful and for $19,99 I must get then ASAP! Check them out below.

Aren’t they amazing? Check out the trailer of the movie. Now I’m curious what Disney Store will come up with. They sure will have to fill in some big shoes.
While being in Amsterdam at the end of October 2012 I visited a cute little shop called Space Oditty where I found this amazing Selena doll that I just could not resit. If ever are in Amsterdam do head to that shop. It’s full of amazing toys and figurines and the owners are sooooooooooo nice! A big hug and shoutout to them.
Anyway, getting back to the doll, I must admitt at first I wasn’t sute I wanted to get it. I try to spend my money on just Barbie dolls but in the end I just couldn’t resit. She’s so pretty and well made.
If you don’t know who Selena is let’s me tell you a few things about her. She was a popular tejano singer in the 90s and was on her way to become an international sensation when she was killed by the president of her fanclub. Such a tragic end for a beautiful and talented singer. Her story was made into a movie in 1997 and she was portraied by Jennifer Lopez. Love that movie! I’m actually going to watch it right after I finish this article.
The doll wears a copy of the purple jumpsuite Selena wore at her last concert, only a month before her death. She also has a guitar, a microphone and a heart ring for girls. I love, love ehr eyes, lips and her skintone. I saw on Flickr that someone put her head on an articulated Barbie body and she looks amazing. Hopefully I can find a deboxed doll because I really want to do that also.
But for now I’ll just enjoy her as she is.
And here is the concert I was telling you about. Such a talent…. So sad.
Anyone here collects Selena dolls? I would love to see your dolls.
