Three Superdoll Convention exclusive Sybarites

This weekend the 3rd annual Sybarites convention took place in London and below we have images of the three amazing exclusive Sybarites that were revealed at the gala.

First up is a gorgeous brunette called Friday dressed in a purple ensemble with thick cat eye makeup.

The second one is an exotic girl with big earrings, smokey eyes and beautiful full red lips. I have just fallen in love with her. :X

The last doll is named after the classic Indian instrument and is so breathtaking with her diamond headpiece and elegant turquoise and black makeup. She reminded me how much I love Ravi Shankar‘s music.

Next year I must attend this convention. It’s time a Sybarite came into my collection. Be sure to check Superdoll London’s Facebook page for more info.

It Is All About The Dress by

Below are some of my fave looks from this collection.

2014 Fashion Dolls Shows

The Barbie in Holland blog has gathered info about a lot of Barbie conventions and here are two that I’m really interested in.

Barbie In Holland Show March 9, 2014 at the Van der Valk Hotel Haarlem Zuid.

Hamburger Barbie Fashion Doll Convention May 3, 2014.

They both are buy and sell events but I would really love to attend them. Besides them in Europe we have Paris Fashion Doll Show, Italian Doll Convention, Madrid Fashion Dolls Show and the Rimini Fashion Doll Convention.

Can’t wait for 2014 to come. :X I’m also attending Star Trek Destination Hamburg in February (yes, HUGE trekkie over here :D ) so 2014 will be a very full year for me. Any of you going to these conventions?

Last but not least we have HQ images of the new Katniss doll. If I am to judge by what Barbie collectors have posted on my Facebook page, this doll will not sell just as the first one. :( People don’t like her braid and are upset that she didn’t come in her wedding dress. Well…it would have been so much nicer to have a mini version of the gorgeous gown by Indonesian designer, Tex Saverio. But who knows…maybe we’ll still get another extra doll with that outfit. We can only hope.

So, what do you rhink of these dolls? Are you getting any of them?

And she’s the beautiful and elegant convention doll from the Convención Nacional de Coleccionistas de Barbie de España Madrid 2013. :X I love her! David Bocci is her designer and he did an excellent job. Love her dress and look at those freckles! There are so many talented people in Spain. Good work guys. She’s amazing.

Info about the Madrid Fashion Doll Show 2014

We have fresh news about the Madrid Fashion Doll Show 2014 that will take place in September of next yeard, just as this year, and will have another glam theme: La Dolce Vita.

madrid fashion doll show 2014

The glam week will start on the 12th of September 2014 and will end on the 14th. The first day will have a great MOD party, followed by the Gala Dinner next day and the salesroom on Sunday. The convention doll will be a Silkstone just as in Paris and Milan.

Now, let me be very, very honest with you and hope that you will not judge or hate me for what I’m going to say. :D I love the Silkstones I got from Paris and Milano this year. They are gorgeous and I’m so proud to have them in my collection. But not everybody collects Silkstones. There are a lot of other Barbie collectors out there that love other dolls such as the wonderfull creations Bill Greening makes or the amazing designs by Linda Kyaw. I would LOVE to see some of their designs as convention dolls. Just look at the gorgeous La Belle Epoque or the amazing doll from this year’s Madrid convention. I would love to see more dolls like that. Can I hope for something like that in 2015 maybe? :D And let me say this again…I don’t want to make anybody upset or take away from you the amazing job that you are doing with all of these conventions. I’m just stating my oppininon as a passionate Barbie and doll collector. ;)

So who am I going to see next year in Madrid? Are any of my readers coming to this convention?
