yesterday BarbieCollector.com posted some sneaks of the upcoming Birthday Wishes dolls and Silkstone dolls. The caucasian Birthday Wishes 2015 is already on Amazon and I bet the other two (an AA and a hispanic) will also be available there sooner than on BC.
Can’t show you images of the new Silkies but here are the descriptions. They already are all over the internet, but you know what my problem is…
Bouclé Beauty™ Barbie® Doll (CGT25) Designer: Robert Best
Body Type: Silkstone
Release Date: Spring 2015
Chanel inspired blonde Silkstone. Bob hairstyle, black and white 2 piece suit, black an white pointed shoes, white gloves, a long necklace, a black hair band with a ribbon. She looks A LOT like Preferably Pink Barbie Doll but I like her none the less.
Fashionably Floral™ Barbie® Doll (CGK91) Designer: Robert Best
Body Type: Silkstone
Release Date: Spring 2
Red/pink floral 2 piece, wide straw hat with 3 roses and a vail, long gloves, open back pointed shoes. She’s my fave. So delicate, so chic. She must come home with me.
On Amazon we also have two new playline career Barbie dolls.
I like them. Yey for Steffie with the gorgeous dark blond hair. But, to be honest, I can’t wait for thr 2015 Look dolls that will continue the metallic look but will feature the new articulated ankles.
The holidays are coming and a lot of new and cute dolls and playsets are poping up in stores. TRU and Amazon have some new stuff that I must say is really growing on me. Some of them you may have already seen but have not been available until now. Let’s check them out.
My friend Muhammed Bagci has shared with us some brand new images of the upcoming Style Barbie dolls and I must say they do look good. I’m not crazy about their faces, including the brand new Barbie face, but I like their fashions and their articulated bodies. Good job, Mattel. See? This is how you do it. Next time maybe we’ll also get some purses made out of material and not plastic, but anyway these dolls are very cute.
In Europe the dolls will retail at 24,99€ so I suppose they’ll be around $24 in the US.
What do you guys think of the way the Style series is evolving? yey or nay?
A fan of my Facebook page has posted this image on my timeline. It’s an IRL image of the 2015 Barbie Birthday Wishes.
Well… Urm… Not really a fan. As a fellow collector one said, these kind of collector dolls are good for a kid that wants to start a collection but can’t really afford the more expensive items, but it’s definetly not a doll for me. She’s cute, just not my type.
We have lots of goodies up on Shop.Mattel.com! Check them out below.
BARBIE® Career of the Year Film Director
Love them. And I LOVE their feet. Slowly Mattel is adding these fete to their dolls. Can’t wait for the next like of Collector dolls that will have this feature.
Some stiff dolls. Yahn!
Another lovely car that I wish was not pink…
BARBIE® Glam Convertible!
An absolutely idiotic set that makes you think coloring poor dogs in pink and blue is ok. *rolls eyes* But the doll is nice.
BARBIE® Color Me Cute™ Puppy Play Set
And finally another glam pool that looks almost the same as the previous ones. Yahn…
BARBIE® Glam Pool!
So, what do you think of the new articulated feet? Should we ask Mattel to forget forever and ever the stiff bodies and give us just fully articulated dolls or could this feature pusg\h the prices even higher?
