Barbie & Ken Batman Vs. Superman 2016

January 29, 2016

I’ve been so distracted with the whole new Barbie bodies that I forgot to talk on the blog about the gorgeous Barbie and Ken Wonder Woman and Batman from the upcoming Batman Vs. Superman. Maybe a lot of you don’t know this, but I’m a huge DC Comics fan. I enjoy comic books but my favorite publishing house is DC Comics. Wonder Woman is my all time favorite character and I’m counting the days until the release of the new movie. This is a great year for changes. Not only is WW returning in the spotlight but she’ll also have her standalone movie that has begun filming.

I loved the WW doll ever since we saw her last year at SDCC, but now, looking at her in her box, I love her even more. Great packaging and that Batman Ken… Just wow. I’m so impressed. Mattel may be lacking in fabric quality these days, but they are making an effort to make the dolls more realistic so kudos to that. You can preorder the new dolls at Just send them an email. I know the dolls will be coming in stock soon. I hope we’ll get to see Superman also very soon.

Yay, we finally have a potential for MANLY Ken*-*! Such a shame their action figures moves less then the action dolls-_-, I trully hope mattel will lose their DC license. I want to have a double jointed batman action figure with thigh swivel around the 20$ range like marvel legends><!

I hope that mask is removable and I hope the male dolls really do look like the actors. I’m after Bruce Wayne more so than Batman! Can’t wait to see Superman.

I want Mattel to keep their licenses. Here in America, all we can get are the super expensive “Hot Toys” action figures which cost $200-400 a throw. Nice if you ‘want’ to throw away that kind of money on something you can’t eat, wear, or drive! These are much better than the cheapy “Titan” figures that Marvel came out with. Plus, now ‘girls’ can have superheroes. Mattel, I understand, is trying to do a merger with Hasbro. Hasbro has done male action figures for the last what, 60 years? As for Ken, there is one rule at Mattel “Ken must never be more important than Barbie.” Barbie is the ‘star’ of ‘her’ toy-line. Calling these ‘Barbie Superman’ and ‘Barbie Batman’ is incorrect. If Mattel is going to go into the action figure business, and try to make it more palatable for girls and women, (I say its unpalatable merely because action figure lines give ‘too much’ detail. I really don’t need to see every vein, pore, and nose hair on an actor’s face to know that its them) then perhaps they need to name this new line of dolls so people won’t confuse them ‘with’ the Barbie line.
I only have one question: What are they going to show at TOYFAIR 2016 if everything ‘new’ that they’re doing is coming out now?

I love Superman Ken Henry Cavill doll he is such a hunk sadly he isn’t picture on here, i only wish Mattel would make all the previous actors who play Superman a doll ( Christopher Reeves from the 70’s and George Reeves from the 1950’s) i always love Superman and grew up with Superman , my mum and all my Aunties love Superman i cant wait to see the new movie with my favorite super hereo Superman he flys himself and got super powers, i would always love Superman i got the superman retuns doll from mattel. And all my Barbie dolls seem to love Superman, atleast Superman is very good looking and handsome and doesn’t have to hide behind a mask like Batman does,, i cant understand why most people are obsessed with Batman these daysm when i was little people love Superman better,

Just got my Superman. He was very expensive at $47.00 but I wanted him. His Superman costume is sewn onto him – no velcro or zippers to take it off. There is a seam on the back and hated to cut the seam but one little snip at the top of the seam and it was only held together with one thread so it came apart fairly easy. The boots were very hard to get off because they are rubbery plastic and not meant to be removed, but got them off in one piece eventually.
Do a lot of dioramas and wanted this figure in some of the dioramas because he is very handsome. He also has about 15 points
articualation which is really great and probably the most for any Mattel character ever. He does not have molded underwear either. He is proportioned very well – his head is actually proportioned to his body, which usually is not the case with “muscled” or articulated characters. His face sculpt is excellent and his body sculpt is also excellent. Glad that I have him now.
