The ebay Charity auction for the 2016 Italian Doll Convention has started and it’s FULL of amazing dolls. The charity will benefit Dynamo Camp, a wonderful place that offers recreative therapy for children.
Check out the dolls below and click on each title to go to the auctions. I’ll edit this article as more dolls will be added.
The Huntsman: Winter’s War is soon going to be released so Spanish artist Nimarogue has created this absolutely incredible Ravenna OOAK Barbie doll. Those details!! OMG! I just can’t…
Ready for the takeover of the kingdom through the magic mirror, she’s a wicked vision of golden opulence. Wearing a re-creation of the costume seen in the movie designed by three times Academy Award Collen Atwood, this devourer of souls played by talented Charlize Theron is as power hungry as she is evil. Iconic collar feathered cape, pointed golden crown and braided updo style her dramatic regal attire to make sure she’s the fairest of them all

When I’m writing this article she is still available for sale so hurry up if you want her! Check out his page HERE.
2016 Portuguese Doll Convention has ended but the ebay Charity Auction has just started. Take a look at the links below and bid bid bid for these beauties as all the money will go the wonderful SOS Children’s Village charity.
Btw, I do love the fact that Mattel has started donating prototypes to these charities. Prototypes are so important to a lot of collectors so it’s so much fun that you can win such a doll and also contribute to a good cause.
One of the things I have loved posting about for years and years are OOAK dolls or other small projects from the dolly world as I think all doll designers deserve a chance to be apreciated. Servando Hernandez from Livin’ Plastic Dolls has been featured here 2 times before and here he is again because I just love his work!
His latest project is called La Petite Sirene and she’s a gorgeous white and turcoise mermaid that I simply adore.
Please go to his Facebook page and support his art and please email me if you have any interesting and fun projects you would like me to share. Stay tuned as tomorow we’ll be talking about another artist dear to my heart.
This may not be news to you, but I just had to comment on the new dolls that were released at this year’s GAW Convention. I don’t even know how to start so that I would not sound bitter and resentful. But I’ll just say it.
City Chic Suit Silkstone is the fugliest and cheepest look Silkstone of LIFE! It’s a joke. Pure and simple. A JOKE. I just don’t get it. How can you go from this:

So sad. Beyond sad. I actually hoped the promo image was not the real deal. I did…
Anyway, The 2016 Look dolls are very, very pretty! Too bad they didn’t keep the Steffie face for the Boho doll but, nevertheless, the dolls are delicious and actually save face for Barbie.
Today has been a strange day for me. When I woke up I had a tone of messages, a video from Mike and Elio, blog posts and a lot of comments from all over the doll community. I have never thought that my Facebook “vacation” would cause such a controversy. I was able to read messages I got on Facebook and the comments on different groups but I’m still unable to reply to anything. I’m like a ghost wandering the halls of Facebook. I still have a day and a few hours left before I can get back to my “normal life” so I’ll just enjoy this weekend with my family. Facebook isn’t everything in life even if this ban has affected my other projects and some pages I work for.
I want to thank everyone that has supported me. I can’t find words to say how humble I feel because of your love and support. All I want right now is to focus on the upcoming Italian Doll Convention and being reunited with my dolly friends. Contrary to some I don’t earn money from this blog but I’ve gained a LOT of friends and that’s what’s important. It really is.
Yes, I got banned from Facebook by Mattel. For 3 days. I can’t post, reply, basically do anything. Why? Because I reposted the image of the Star Trek dolls. An image that was already all over Facebook doll groups and on online shops.
Via The Doll Cafe Group, we have a first image of the BMFC Exclusive 2016 Articulated AA Silkstone Barbie doll. Well… Not impressed. The image is small and I’ll have too see a bigger image, but still I’m nt impressed.
I know you’ve all been waiting to see the convention doll from the 2016 Portuguese Doll Convention so here she is!! Yes, we’ve seen her also in an older article and now that I’ve seen clearer images of her, she’s even prettier that I thought!
Now the only question is weather the brunette doll in the image below will be given at the Italian Doll Convention or the National Doll Convention in the US? Hmmm.
